New GA: GT's favorite QB

God I'm glad the internet wasn't around when I played lol. Y'all would have had a field day with the coaches/players I played for/with including me.

GT fanbase favorite whipping boy, Tevin Washington, is returning this season as a GA for the offense. I hope there is a new appreciation for what Tevin brought to this offense. I will never take 30+ppg for granted again
I, for one, have that new appreciation. that is good news.

the Internet was around, from a certain point of view. no pop up ads and everyone was in true name, no handles. I think the two tech men who were online then probably haven't left the comp sci lab yet.

He played up to his capacity and handled himself professionally. A good GT rep.

+1 He did the best he could with the athletic ability he had. That kind of personality makes for a good coach.

Whatchyall talkin bout... I thought Reggie was the whipping boy of former QBs on Stingtalk.

I looked at the thread title and immediately thought of Reggie.

Tevin took a lot of öööö because Vad Lee was behind him. And because there was nothing particularly exciting about his game. He just got it done.

TW was dragged over the coals by a majority, not all, of the people here.

There was this savior named Vad, proclaimed by all mentioning his name, was the greatest QB at GT since lil Joe.

One has to believe that those drinkers were the same ones jinxing the crap out of 2015's team by proclaiming GT over n.d. & CU by at least 20 points, that D Watson was no good, laughing at ugag for playing a transfer from uva.

TW was treated like crap.

I'm glad to have him back. He seemed to have a solid grasp of the offense, and I think he'd be a great person to teach it. For the same reasons, I think that Synjin would be a great one to have back as a GA too.

I argued for Tevin vs. Vad, but I don't think Tevin would have gotten 30 ppg this year with our issues at every other position.

Glad to have him on board. He was solid and a class act. I really think he could have a future in coaching.

Always good to see former players back with the program no matter what.

I think you're right. With the anointed Vad on the sideline, people couldn't wait for Tevin to make a mistake.

I think I was very consistent in my praise for Tevin and excitement for Vad's potential. I am happy to have him on the staff as a GA.

Can we start now? That's one butt ugly photo on your wikipedia page.

And as long as you had Rip Scherer around, you would have been safe from the internet trolls.

I wasn't on ST while Tevin played but I always liked him. I would have had nothing negative to say about him, but I'm not surprised that ST did because that is what usually happens on here. Many seem to think they know more about anything and everything than the coaches and players.

Wow guys don't act all high and mighty now. He got some crap that he never deserved on here. Possibly from me at some point. Fact is dude was a helluva athlete through his prep and college years. Won a lot of games at GT and lost a lot that you can only blame the defense on.

Was a terrible athlete and a non-playmaker. But would probably make a good coach someday. No problem with this.

I'm not going to go this far on both sides of the post. Tevin played his heart out for GT. He should have always been a one year starter or a second string qb. He wasn't because GT cannot recruit #1, and it is starting to appear CPJ's regime cannot recruit for the position.

You can make money off both research and football.

Man up to be MIT and play MIT. Floundering sucks. School isn't as good as great schools and football team isn't anywhere near great football teams. Makes for a bunch of ho hum bs on stingtalk.
