We lost to LSU in the Peach Bowl because we turned the ball over something like 5 times.

For some strange reason, the Peach Bowl has very bad karma for GT.

According to wiki, we are 22 - 14 in bowl appearances, giving us a winning percentage of 0.611. We also have a nice streak going of 12 consecutive appearances (and looking at 13 this year).

But my perception is that while the current streak is great, our performance in them has not been so great. The last one we won was the '04 Citrus against Syracuse.

I don't really give a rip where we go, so long as we WIN!

NCState over UNC
Clemson over Virginia
Virginia over Virginia Tech

and oh yeah Georgia Tech over Miami (obv.)

Tampa here we come!!

I would gladly take a 100-0 Miami loss just to beat UGAg by one point.

Keep in mind .... GT has NEVER lost 8 straight to the butt sniffers. This year would make 8.

As I said previously .... if Tech can't beat UGAg this year when they're thin in the trenches .... or next year when they're thin at talent positions .... it could be a long, long time before Tech sees a win. At what point is it not a rivalry anymore? At what point does it move from Clemson-USC or Florida-FSU or Bama-Auburn .... to UNC-Dook or TN-Vandy or USC-Stanford?

the fans complain but do the PLAYERS complain about lessor bowls.

I remember when we went to Boise some players said they had the time of their life.

Maybe WE, THE FANS, complain about the bowls more then the players.

I always love the posters that state THE TEAM should not accept weak bowl invites. That would be like me telling you not to accept a raise that you didn't earn.

Think all players would prefer better bowls over lesser bowls (and for the most part--east coast trumps west coast, in terms of prestige) -- meant you did well. Did not see his statement -- did he say he wanted to refuse the Emerald Bowl and stay home if that is the option?? Or did he just say he wants to be in an East Coast bowl game -- something most east coasters would probably prefer.
