New GT beat writer for the AJC

I’m lost. This is a GT Beat Writer thread. I assumed the article you quoted was from Ken since he was the beat writer.

You quoted but didn’t link the article.

The sentence I wrote preceeding the quote of the article is a link but its hard to see
 
Going to columnist is a promotion
Lots of guys get into sports writing with the goal of being a columnist
It’ll mean much less time at practices and on road trips and more time at home with the family

Yeah, beat writer is entry level, so he was due. Hopefully when he does write a column on GT, he will treat us better than those guys do.

GT Fletch posted that article after Beestorm asked "is that GTFLETCH's real name? Did someone just dox him?" I don't know what he was referring to because the post/tweet he quoted was Ken's tweet welcoming the new beat reporter. So all I could assume was GT Fletch was answering him as "no that isn't me, this is" and linked the article you have screenshot above.

Yes. You misunderstood my post. I was just explaining where I think some folks got confused and thought it was Ken plagiarizing Stingtalk. I don't know what Beestorm was referring to when but he quoted the OP tweet of Ken introducing his successor, Chad Bishop. BS asked was that GTFletchs real name and did he just get doxxed? GTFletch then posted just a link to that article, written by Luke Fletcher, which I assume meant that is who he is. 00Burdell caught the line in the article and linked it back to his older post, then folks were thinking it was Ken who wrote that, not Fletch. I'm still confused why BS brought Fletch into the discussion to start with.

I think the intended joke is Fletch just reposts full text articles here all the time. I dunno. This thread got weird
