I say lets just kick it out of bounds on every kick, lol.
Congrats to CPJ, staff, players, band, and of course, the fans.

Did you see Blair made ANOTHER game-saving tackly on our last kickoff?

Sheesh! That's like his fourth one (TD saving tackle)!

If I know they will be starting from the 40 at least my heart may survive the season.:fingersx:

You know they can just back us up 10 yards and make us re-kick right?

Besides I thought KO coverage was fine tonight other than the one right at the end of the game.

Blair had a good night - kicking off reasonably deep and in bounds. Even booted the 5 yard longer re-kick almost to the goal line and got a nice head slap/butt pat from CPJ for it. The cover team simply didn't perform on a couple of returns and gave the Noles good field position. In the first half, field position didn't matter, but that last one probably gave them their only TD of the second half.

As long as Blair gets it inside the ten on a high kick, we should stop the return man inside the 25, no? He did his part, but the coverage team did not.

Agreed. We did very well until the end, especially given how many times we were kicking off. ;)

Our Kick Off Coverage advanced light years since last week. The only sector of our team that still has major issues is our defense. We have to learn how to contain the QB because TT will take advantage of our defense and run/pass all over us.

It isn't our kickoff coverage that worries me, it is giving the ball back.

Maybe we should just be like little kids.

Ref: "It is time to kick off now."
Us: "NO! We don't wanna kickoff!"

Our first 3 kickoffs:
They started on the 30 - jammed it down our throats
started on the 20 - jammed it down our throats
started on the 10 - jammed it down our throats
and so on

Coverage didn't matter.

Receiving teams can no longer request a rekick. That option was eliminated when they changed the spot from the 35 to the 40, IIRC.
