Trying to remember who it was and drawing a blank... but in the mid '90s, one of the Falcon's WRs broke his leg in a game against the Az Cardinals. He made the reception and was running down the sideline when suddenly... snap! Would have likely been a game changing TD otherwise.

Yes, I remember that one too. I want to say it was Mike Pritchard around '92 or '93. I was thinking the game was at Buffalo, but my memory is fuzzy about it.
 
Prothro was the kid from Alabama about 3 or 4 years ago who broke his leg against Florida I think. That was nasty and ended his career.
