New Years Day Bowl Game Thread

I'm stunned at how well Oregon's D is playing Wisconsin. I did not see this coming.

I'm guessing that CGC pretty much opened his notebook and shared with CMR. You know CGC is a defensive coach and likely has a ton of information to share with Rhule.
 
I'll say I enjoy the announcing team of Fowler and Herbstreit a lot better when its not a game with an SEC team in it. This is how I remember them before they started giving hummers to the SEC every chance they get.

And I'll repeat the graphic on ESPN that showed that Jim Harbaugh has won 47 games in 5 years. Double-check my math but I think that is roughly 9 wins per year. As good as that is, I think Michigan wanted more.

Ok, so I was wrong about the start time for the Rose Bowl. As an offering for my mistake, I have a trivia question: When was the Rose Bowl *not* played in Pasadena, CA and why? No Googling.
 
Did I just hear Fowler say, regarding the running back for Oregon, "that's three yards for Burdell?"

1942. Duke was the East Coast team (the Rose Bowl used to be an East Coast v West Coast game). There was a concern Japan would attack the actual game (with bomber aircraft) so Duke invited Oregon (the West Coast team) to play the game in Durham.

That is the only year the Rose Bowl was not played in Pasadena.
