The starting QB, sure. Some 3rd string defensive lineman no one has ever heard of before? Probably not.

Radio stations aren’t exactly flush with cash. They cut costs religiously.
Someone is going to pay to sponsor the interview segments, just like they do for weekly coaches shows.

So no radio station is going pay someone $12/hr to give in-depth info on the season and off-season? I guess we will see
$12/hr? $25k for 12 hours work it sounds like to me. That’s $2,000/hr.

Considering someone value is tied to what they do on and off the field, they are a FT employee.

25k/ 52wks= $480.76/40hrs/wk = $12.01

Except they don’t work 40 hours a week. Or 52 weeks a year. They will have their money in 3 months, not 12 months.

Dumb take to try to make this out to be some sort of minimum wage job.

What? No you’re jumping into a convo with your own agenda. $12 is not minimum wage, fyi

Lift from 5:30- 7am

Mandatory breakfast, lunch, & dinner (an hour each)

Meetings and practice 8- 11:30

Class: 12-6 (7 if you have an evening)

Saturday- 3-4hrs in the fall

You do the math!

Free education, free room, free food, free elite level personal training staff.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for NIL. It gives the rest of the teams in the country a way to somewhat level the playing field with the teams that have been doing it illegally all of these years.

And how is that? The “system” doesn’t have a ceiling
Many reasons. You’ll see corporate sponsors steering kids to certain schools. Scholarship value is out the window etc

Most money paid athletes (football at least) won't be with the payor seeking "profit" any more than bag men seek "profit" when they funnel the cash. It's a legit (and nearly unlimited) way to do what they have always done.
