No TV for the Jax State game

We have to get the game in early so we can prepare for Clemson.

Who's playing in the dome? VT and Bama?

Aw, I'm not sure if I even get ESPN360.

That's an internet broadcast, you know.

ATT customers get it, as do university campuses.

I'm not sure how you might be able to get access, (maybe by paying a fee?), if your ISP doesn't provide it.

I am aware it is an internet broadcast, though the ISP I have, Charter, does not provide it. I used to have ATT, but my family decided to switch to Charter to take advantage of a much cheaper introduction deal of like $60 for its three services and then complain or just drop it after it finished.

i just brought it up and watched a little of the french open on espn360 and it was pretty clear. It sucked last year, but I think they have worked out the glitches.

net connection is better than just radio

im pretty partial to just lettin wes paint the picture when i cant make it to a game... its a dying art.... I even mute the tv and turn on the radio for televised away games, those tv announcers usually suck anyways... then again i have the benefit of actually receiving a station that covers tech games

They better have all the kinks worked out in their ESPN360 feed this time. Last year was a complete disaster.

Does anyone know why we didn't make the Jax State game on Thursday night again? I thought that worked out really well for pretty much everyone.

My guess is because ESPN would rather air an SEC spring game that Thursday night than ACC vs FCS.

It wasn't on TV last year. It's not on TV this year. What does ESPN care? It's completely up to GT.

I tried this, but my television broadcast is always 3 or 4 seconds delayed so it doesnt work, unless you have an idea around this.

Once Comcast starts carrying ESPNU, they will offer ESPN 360 for their customers. Gives me a reason to switch to Comcast.

If you pay to listen to the game online you can delay the feed. Unless they have some stupid proprietary player.

Jax st is not on a Thursday night because too many alumns complained to Drad that we had 2 Thursday night games last year. Its not convienent for fans with 2+ hour drive.
Myself, I love thursday night games, but I understand the complaint of others. 1 home Thursday night game per year will probably be the norm from here on out.

Its 1pm kickoff for 2 reasons:

1) Alabama vs VT is at 8pm. It would be a traffic nightmare to play the 2 games at the same time of day.

2) We have 4 off days (~99 hours) between games. 6 or 7 extra hours of rest/planning is a lot of time.

That's a great reason, didn't even consider it.

Another good reason why it isn't a Thurs. night game is the association and team would much rather get a 2nd nationally televised game than a non-televised game warm up opener game.

yeah.. the delay is pretty nerve racking, but im usually a nervous wreck during tv games anyways pacing around and so forth, so its a drop in the bucket..... i dont get as nervous when im at the games though.. strange

I've got a 7 hour drive. But I understand the complaint...I just think that the number of fans who would come out because it's not hot as hell outweighs the number of fans who couldn't make it because it's Thursday night. But I'm just speculating.

I don't understand what you mean. What second nationally televised game do we have to do with? This game is untelevised. It has no bearing on any television nor future scheduling at all. Last year we had three Thursday night games, two at home one on the road.
