No TV for the Jax State game

I don't understand what you mean. What second nationally televised game do we have to do with? This game is untelevised. It has no bearing on any television nor future scheduling at all. Last year we had three Thursday night games, two at home one on the road.

Pretty certain we never played anyone on a Thurs night away. In fact I've never heard of a team playing more than 2 thurs night games. If two is the limit as I think it is, then I'd rather have an away Thurs night game against Miami on national TV than a home thurs night game against an FCS school.

You're right, we didn't have a Thursday night away last year. I don't see why it would matter though...I figured the two Thursday night game rule was an ESPN thing. But maybe not, and in that case that makes sense...definitely a wise decision if that's true.

If it was Thursday night then we'da had 3 consecutive Thursday games.

Yeah it stinks that it won't be on TV, but the good news it at least finally the game will be on a radio station that we can listen to clearly.

To be honest it doesn't really affect me. I will be at the game! Woo! 90 days!

I'm sure Tech and Clempson both agreed to play on the same day the week before their Thursday night game. I doubt Clempson would have agreed to move the game to Thursday if it meant short week for them and full week for GT. And vice versa.

yeah.. the delay is pretty nerve racking, but im usually a nervous wreck during tv games anyways pacing around and so forth, so its a drop in the bucket..... i dont get as nervous when im at the games though.. strange

I couldn't have described myself any better. I'm the exact same way.

That is a good point, it will be nice to have our games on a radio station where you don't have to worry about losing the signal every few feet as you drive down the road.

Regarding ESPN360, Comcast internet customers should be able to have access to that as part of the recent agreement between Comcast and ESPN that will add ESPNU to cable and ESPN360 access as well.

Thus, I believe that Comcast customers may be able to access the game via ESPN360 and display it on their HD sets. Can anyone who already has ESPN360 comment on that?

Freakin' Cox Cable doesn't offer ESPN 360. I'm gonna be moving this summer so I think I'm gonna have to get Verizon instead when we move get moved in.

For all the above posters, I have one question, why not buy a ticket and got to the game???????

I'll give you my PayPal address if you will be kind enough to send me enough money for two game tickets, gas, parking, and meals.

$75-$100 should cover it.

Edit:
Breakdown
Meals - $15x2 - $30
Tickets - $20x2 - $40
Gas - 300 mi/30 mpg=10 gallons @ $2.50=$25
Parking - $5

$30+$40+$25+$5=$100

Living in Durham is a little easier. Only $150 round trip. Booked my flights a couple weeks ago.

Fair question, but I was at the JSU game last year, hope to be this year as well. I was just pointing out that there may be a tv option for those who don't attend for whatever reason.

Yeah, I wish it were that easy. Even though it's the weekend, I can't go past 6 hours driving distance from Vegas or I have to take leave which I'm saving up to come back for the VPI&SU game + opening of deer season. I sure as hell wish we could be there for everyone. One of these days, we're gonna move back and get season tickets. The JSU game last year was SWMBO's first Tech game.

ESPN360 is internet only. It isn't one channel but a selection of a number of live feeds or replay feeds.

You could hook up a PC to a TV in theory for display. I intend to use SlingCatcher to display the video on my TV.

I guess a cable provider could choose to run one particular live feed on a channel, but it is not the SOP.
