I don't always agree with Andrew but I do like him as a person. GT needs to fix the idea of football before getting interested in firing/hiring a football coach.I think lil Andrew is eating his words now making fun of us STers who want to dump CPJ.
Incorrect, jackass. Try again. So you want Brent Key?

It appeared that Duke was playing football and we wanted no part of that brutal activity. The feed I had in Dallas had no sound so no idea what the announcers were saying. It sure looked like Duke came out with more attitude and nastiness.
That Vic Alexander fight was brewing all game to that point. Duke was hitting through the whistle and once they had our ball carriers down, they were giving a little extra business to them.
It seemed like the fight woke us up a little and we started to show more toughness, but it shouldn't take a fight to get a team motivated for their homecoming game.

I agree here. Seems like a bunch of whining I heard from my buddies when they had trouble in class. It didn't look like we gave up, we just needed to hold on to the ööööing ball. The game was even and the defense was playing well. It's hard to win when you give the ball up and set up a short field each time.
Go ahead and rationalize all of our losses with excuses if it makes you feel better.I agree here. Seems like a bunch of whining I heard from my buddies when they had trouble in class.

No offense intended but I'm not sure you know what rationalizing actually is because what you just did there was rationalize the loss. It's not rationalizing at all. The turnovers are unacceptable and it's a common theme for our team, so that's on the coach. The game was dead even until we gave up the ball 3 straight times with a short field and we fought to get another score, we didn't just give up, at least not the players. Playcalling and time management were terrible though, and that's also on the coach.
Never said we gave up. Duke was hitting harder the whole game. We are not as physical, not as physically talented (let that sink in) as Duke, and we are certainly not as well coached or prepared. And how could we be? Duke has more majors and we have blue pants. Hey, Paul, Todd Stansbury on line one.It didn't look like we gave up, we just needed to hold on to the ööööing ball.
