A lot of negative vibes going around the past few days here at Stingtalk. ( I have shared mine as well)Not ALL but quite a few.

Let's drop the negativity and focus on what's coming up Saturday. Our SA's need to right the ship and get ready for UVA. we have had tons of horrid luck up there lately and it is time for a W against the Hoos.

We have hashed and rehashed and their is a lot of frustration right now. There is no doubt we are disappointed, but I remind you of one thing.

WE STILL CONTROL OUR OWN DESTINY!!!!!! Win out and we get another shot at BC in the ACCCG.

Lets get get a W Saturday and get ready for Clempsun!!

I'll second that motion. Very little is being said about the upcoming game agains UVA. We're all still writhing from last Saturday, but it's time to heal the wounds and move on. There's still a large chunk of the season left and very little has been lost. No, we won't be in the MNC, but who was actually expecting that this year? On to the next step on the ladder.

Very true MoF2 --It's a simple concept, cliched perhaps, but from here on out as far as the ACC is concerned --one game at a time.

Our football team's struggles at Charlottesville have been well chronicled the past couple of days --this is an important game because UVA is already 2-0 in conference.

Although those wins are against Duke and UNC, we do not want to fall behind anybody in the conference 2 games and with a loss against them --we would face having to make up 3 games against UVA.

Really does it matter? I like conversation regarding both this upcoming game and out last game negative or positive. My posts, your posts, mm42's posts, refrigeratormover's posts, etc. have no influence on the team's preparations. If they did, I would think we probably need new leadership.

No offense intended, but posts like this always baffle me. "WE" don't control squat. The people on this message board or any other message board do not control the destiny of our football team and the impending results. To believe such is to place more than just a vested emotional interest into something you or I have no control over. There is a fine line between emotional interest and believing in a false sense of control which leads to empty feelings of entitlement. Getting emotional about your team is one thing. Getting emotional about your team because you think you are entitled to a specific result is another.

The way our fans piss and moan about our team on message boards MIGHT have some ramifications. You can't say yes it does or no it doesn't with 100% certainty.

Tell ya what BOR let me re-state, since it is quite abvious you did not understand what I was trying to state in the first place.

First, I never intended that WE meant US as in playing the games. It was meant as the preverbial us. Sorry I did not communicate that effectively. Only an idiot would think WE would control what happens on Saturday afternoons from the stands or TV sets.

Second, I do not mind conversation either, but after 4 days it gets quite old. Tell ya what I will do, after Tuesday of each week I will quit reading the board until the following games are played. That way I will not be tempted to post such an item once again.

Third, SHOOT since I am predicting a W from my chair this afternoon I KNOW it will happen Saturday.

Fourth, give me a break, I was making a couple of statements which you completely turned around and thought I was ignorant enough to believe what I or anyone said here would happen on any given Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair to the Hivers, they had a very serious negativity problem over there a while back, that in fact DID hurt us recruiting, because The Hive is more of an official discussion board than little ole Stingtalk.

So they are the way they are for a legit reason, but that reason just makes Stingtalk cooler.
