Exactly how does it "harm" GT? If there's any harm being done GT by "message boards" it is done right here, where folks spew venom at both the team and one another. Is that a bad thing? I'm not making any comment on that one way or the other. The board moderators/owners have chosen to allow that behavior and therefore have accepted both the good and the bad consequences of that decision. Hat's off to them.
Honestly I don't think "harm" is done GT by people venting, and that's exactly what is happening. But don't think for one second that it "helps" GT either.
Again, that's just my opinion. I will point out, however one thing that most people fail to realize about posting on The Hive. Nobody was EVER banned and no post was ever yanked because a moderator or board owner didn't like what the person was saying. Never. Not ever. Not even once. The only time things were ever pulled or people ever banned was because of the WAY in which they expressed themselves or because they attacked players. Use of profanity and personal attacks on other posters got people banned and posts pulled. That's not opinion, that's fact. So at least get that part right. You may choose not to believe that, but it's the truth.
And no, I don't own The Hive.
