i was booted for posting in the gameday forum.....we as fans have to do something to show our unhappiness with teh coaches and since i am not a big money man the only way i can do this is by not attending any more games this year and getting rid of my tickets. That is why i will not be in atlanta anymore this year.

this is what got me booted-there is not bag language, no attack on anyone-just an opinion that is negative and one i will continue to stand by.

oh and i also said "we are paying a million dollars for this?" -not an attack-just an opinion

I was booted for little or less.

guess the AJC will have a full page story about the decision to shut it down again...causing GT more harm than good, again!

This is classic, the three wise men; Buzzybee, buzzin, Ramblinwise1...proclaiming their innocence from the cruel and arbitrary RR.

I read your venom, your crap, your destructive anti-Tech posts on The Hive's gameday forum (and your older stuff on The Hive Ramblinwise1). RR did the right thing.

You detract from what is good, your try to tear down what I and others support. Your whining about losing a game was like a group of 3 year olds being told no more ice cream today.

You 3 are examples of the lowest common denominator, the "Vent" type of fonts that make message boards unpalatable for true fans.

What a sad world we live in when we can't even complain about football. Are "they" scared that we may hurt someone's feelings? C'mon, that's part of the game. Until I personally get to decide who to recruit and who to hire I will voice my opinions, positive and negative.

Some folks don't seem to understand that there is a difference between RR having the right to do as he pleases with his board (noone disagrees with that), and the right of the human race to have an opinion of how he runs it. They are two different things. If you don't like the critisim of The Hive, RR, whatever, that's too bad. This is Stingtalk where the moderators put a premium on free speech. If you don't like our freedom of speech, feel free to crawl back to your beloved Hive once it comes back up and leave us the hell alone over here. I can assure you, you will not be missed.

Nobody has said that you can't discuss football. You can discuss it here all day long. RR has just decided that he doesn't want to deal with it on his board right now. He's got that right.

RR took over the Hive five years ago, and has run it very well over that time. Five years is a long time to run a message board, especially one where passions run so high. As a point of comparison, the Dawgvent has changed locations and management at least three times during that period.

I have no idea what the future of the Hive may be. RR might change his mind and bring it back up. It may have new administrators. It may stay down permanently. Whatever happens, I am appreciative of all the time RR has put into the Hive.

I am just as appreciative of the time that BeeStorm, gtfan, and anyone else is putting into StingTalk. It's a good board, and it's poised to grow.

I agree gtfan. I am sure that it takes a large amount of time to bee administrators of boards. I appreciate that hard work. Thank you gtfan for your post.

I thought our country was founded on the concept that vigorous debate is an insurance policy against tyranny. Isn't that why freedom of speech is listed first in the Bill of Rights?

How many Americans died or have been maimed so that we may have vigorous debate? I always thought that differing opinions were good - not destructive.

Just because someone disagrees with authority does not make the disagreement negative - in fact history shows us that most social progress was achieved by "questioning authority" - I'd say that makes it positive.

It's good that people care enough to express an opinion. The time to really worry is when people don't care enough to let others know their concerns.

Fascism, communism, and other oppressive regimes all find it necessary to stifle opinion.

There is no negative opinion - it is all good and positive.

The stifling of opinion is negative. And to limit the expression of opinion is destructive.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">you self-rightous idiot....u have not read any of my posts or you would never have made a stupid comment like that...well maybe you would have cause you are truely stupid....damn people like you who post things that are absolutly not true...your a liar go play with your friends at the hive

I am not a liar.

I read your crap Thursday night. It was pathetic, like a whiny bratty kid.

The only reason I bring this up is to defend RR from your slander.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">that pretty funny.....because i did not post a thing thursday night.....so either u have me confused or u are a liar....by the way its buzzinhard on the hive

gtfan, Thank you. I appreciate you saying that on your board. Very classy! I know you're just being honest. Much appreciated!

goldbuzz, interesting comments and totally on target. However none of that has anything to do with sports message boards. The Hive is RR's board. He makes the rules and he enforces them. And forgive me if I don't worry too much about our freedoms being jeopardized by differences of opinion on what is appropriate to post about college athletics.

Buzzin, if you did not post anything on Toe Meets Leather on Thursday evening I apologize profusely.

There was a font with a very similar name with about a dozen "we suck" "fire Gailey" type posts. It directly led to RR shutting down The Hive.

This whole bashing RR stuff sickens me.

How long are you guys gonna go back and forth on this? Why don't you just agree to disagree? This is not the place to continually bash the hive or RR. If you want to make your point, do it, then move on. This back and forth name calling and finger pointing at anonymous handles is ridiculous. There are so many similar handles with the words BEE, BUZZ, GOLD, JACKET, etc in them that I doubt anyone can remember who did what from one day to the next.

You guys that don't like the way RR runs the hive, take it up with RR or stay away from the hive if it bothers you so much. Stingtalk is NOT the Hive's Complaint Department. Do not use Stingtalk as a forum to attack the hive or it's administrators.

The admins of Stingtalk appreciate everything that RR has done and continues to do for the GT community. We hope he works through whatever is going on and that he opens the hive up again.

Please don't bring your hival arguments here. If you want to moderate what is said on the hive, do it there. Not here. If you want to address something with an individual concerning hive behavior, do it in e-mail or in the hive. Not here.

You guys know that I try not to "tailor" discussions and that I hate to even have to point out obvious things like this. So I know everyone will take a look around, straighten their tie and move on. As usual, thanks for your support and we are glad you are here! Go Jackets!!

People do need to understand that if it was not for the "hive" it would have been next to impossible to have stingtalk be as successful as it has been. The "Hive" was able to group all OUR potential members together and then RR was gracious enough to allow us to post and link to our site.

Beestorm and I understand completely HOW MUCH work and time RR has put into the hive. In fact we were both long time readers/posters before we set up this site.

Stingtalk has had many advantages to help us such as modern software and a smaller membership.

I wish people would not attack RR because he is doing what he believes is right. I sincerely hope that the "Hive" does come back up b/c I enjoyed two separate and distinct forums.
