O'briens relationship with CG?......

Re: O\'briens relationship with CG?......

GG is being cautious, not acting like a jerk. That's the difference.

Football fans are, by nature, eager to see their teams do well. some of us express that exuberantly (like me), some don't want to anger the gridiron gods (as, apparently, we did last year) so they are more cautious.

Jerks are just jerks.

Law,

I think the title of this thread is what threw me off. I read GG's thingy on the Hive. You're right. He does sound like he has some reservations.

I don't think we need to worry too much about GG. He's a great Yellow Jacket. But in the end, he's still just a guy with an opinion. He gives us great info and he's usually right. But I don't worry too much about him.

My main worry from his post was about the Increase of Entrance Standards for Athletes. That threw me for a loop. Let's just hope that they don't do anything to hamstring CG and company in their recruiting efforts.

Re: O\'briens relationship with CG?......

jacketguy, thanks for the link, but it didn't say that we have lost Gary Johnson and Sterling Green. It says that Gailey won't know about them until after summer school. However, it does say that LeRon Lee is out for the season because he is on blood thinners to help a blood clot, and that Rahshan Johnson is looking to transfer to be closer to his sick father. We don't want to lose anybody, but his family is more important, and I hope that his father gets better.

This is a much nicer forum than accessAtlanta! I had the opportunity to work last year w/ a former member of Donnan's staff who knows GOL and RF personally(he coached w/RF at UMD) and thinks in the not too distant longrun we will be much better off w/ CG et al. Evidently GOL/RF both had a tendency to overdo getting on a kids ass and really berating him more than necessary. I've been following GT football since before I became a 'rat' in '65 and we have certainly endured some trials and tribulations;if you want a glimpse of Hell try living in Charlotte during Cremins' early years. Go Jackets!!
