OC Buster Faulkner Offensive Playbook: Dive & POP

I was in the student section for the whole game. It was so depressing.

@GT flunkout and I (in)famously left the ST section at halftime, walked back to the RV Lot, and proceeded to get ööööfaced - worst game I ever experienced as a Tech fan (excluding B*** L**** and clown boy seasons)… and At 45 years old, that’s saying something.

Can someone tldr how this reduces the reads for the QB?

In a conventional pro-style passing game, a QB will take a 5-7 step drop and go through several progressions, many times on multiple levels. There will be pre and post snap reads to identify coverages, leverage, and matchups as well as presnap blocking adjustments. This requires the OL to maintain a pocket for a longer time and a QB with the ability to process a lot of information in a short time.

while I’m no expert on the air raid, it typically utilizes the equivalent of 1-3 step drops, shorter patterns with more focus on yards after catch. The pattern concepts necessitate quick releases from the QB. I view some of the concepts as essentially runs…think stick, hitch, flare, bubble, type stuff that are essentially pitch and catch type stuff having similar effect as outside runs.

perhaps someone can better articulate this, but this is my perspective.

Any mods mind explaining to me why I was banned for posting a thread thread about hiring this guy?

But Georgia wasn't an "air raid" offense. Running the ball. 2 TE's, take shots when the defense is drawn in, solid defense.

Jan 2016:
Coach Buster Faulkner sat down with J.C. of Red Wolf Roll Call Radio and talked about his arrival at AState, the opportunity to work for Coach Blake Anderson, his relationship with AState DC Coach Joe Cauthen, his philosophy on recruiting, family, and more
