Off-the-wall question re: Muschamp's chances...

I can tell you. PJ and Hatch were both search committee finds not dans

also can tell you WM was dans so was edsall.

Both have been turned down.
You're close. Those inside sources are giving you some bad info, but, it's close enough for gov't work.

Guys, we're looking at a power struggle here. Those of you thinking DRad's walking, if he doesn't get his way are underestimating him. I'm not saying he's going to get his way, but look at what we're seeing. DRad comes with his candidate, probably the best prospect and worse choice possible for GT. The "Old Guard" counters with their 'safe' choice, but to get him they have to pony up. If so, DRad goes on working, knowing that he either has a coach for life, or he gets next pick. If not, he gets his choice and either rides WM to victory, or goes down in flames...a bet he's willing to risk.

On the side we have IHCJT, waiting in the wings. But think about this, IHCJT is only IHC until after the bowl game. After that, UConn HC RE becomes available again. Makes you wanna say, "Hmmmm".

Boom!

and around we go again, my boy has still got a chance, as slim as it is.

why does that piss u guys off so bad? that Drad's 1st choice is WM?

u guys do understand that right? WM is DRad's choice, make sure u understand that, k.

The fact that I want the guy that the majority doesn't makes me some kind of villain how? I've been slammed for backing WM, I just don't get it.

you guys back your guys, i'm gonna back mine.

simple as that, we don't have to give each other hell

To Hell with Georgia and to hell with Will Muschamp. Piss on him.

clapper we can't wait until after the bowl games.

Sure we can. Especially if it means coming away stronger than ever and returning to a position of prominence for years and years to come. Losing a handful of recruits in the short term is well worth it, if we get it right - on the field and off.

Of course, those of you that are bouncing off the walls like you're trying to hold in a bad case of the squirts might go nuts, but that would be entertaining as hell for the rest of us.

Assuming there is some sort of major power struggle going on, is it possible that Muschamp wasn't even DRad's true first choice, but rather he was an extreme choice thrown at the board as an initial point to start the bargaining process? Like when you lowball the used car dealer, knowing he'll meet you in the middle, and wanting to shift the middle more towards something you want?

It's a thought.

Interesting post but can you explain the RE segment? I thought he was extended by UConn.

He hasn't received the extension yet. He and the AD agreed to wait until the season was over in order to avoid distractions. The distractions will stop being an issue once they've played their Bowl game. He'd be free to discuss extensions, changing jobs, whatever. Not saying it would happen only that he may be off the table for the near future. After that...
