Offensive changes betwen GOL and Gailey?

He doesn't get that involved in the offense at Maryland. Other than, of course, discussing direction and general stuff. He has said that a number of times. Ralph - a former assistant who hasn't forgotten what its like to be an assistant - allows his assistants to do their job without unnecessary interference.

Maryland got jipped then. If I hired Ralph as a HC, I'd tell him to hire an assistant head coach to do all the dumb HC stuff and tell him he had to OC.

Actually, he took over the offensive coordinator duties in addition to being head coach, starting last year. From his bio:

Last year Friedgen took on added responsibility, assuming the duties of the team's offensive coordinator, marking the first time he has called the plays in his head coaching tenure at Maryland. The team went on to post a 9-4 record, marking the fourth nine-win campaign in the last six seasons and 13th in school history. The Terps culminated the season with a convincing 24-7 victory over Purdue in the Champs Sports Bowl.

we had 7 defensive TD's in 98 do to fumble recoveries alone

Please really try to understand the B'OB didnt really call much of the plays while he was here.... I know some of you struggle with believing that and this isnt to say he is better or worse then Gailey but he wasnt calling all the plays i will promise u

another difference we practiced hard 4 nights a week under GOL now they have monday off and thursday is a walk through leaving tuesday and wednesday as the work days
