That just seems crazy, since in the early 1900's the good teams were routinely scoring over 100 points against less prepared teams. You'd think somebody would've notched that one. The crazy thing is the 1916 GT team beat Cumberland to set that record in week 2, and won the next game 9-0.

I just assumed scores bottomed out once conference play started in weeks 2-3... I was surprised as well!

Well that's unusual. ESPN just shelved the Alabama game to ESPN news to air Washington Utah. Usually they do that the other way around.
