I’m almost sure Haynes was either 25/25 or 25/26 excluding passes batted down at the LOS. Dead serious.

Got to clean up some things on defense seemed quick hitting plays hurt us some but see good defense in redzone... We are better then we were last year but still not showing real teeth yet.

Offense had alot of good the play makers are there. The running attack was mostly a grind with occasional big run but a lot of that was neutered by GOD awful officiating it atleast cost us near 80-100 yards in rushing.

We had a disjointed, gutsy effort, getting over some fatigue I think and GA State came to fight. Hopefully we can regain focus for Syracuse. We will need a good performance from all phases. No break until VMI.

Seems like some good blood between staff and players after game. Good to see.
We should tacitly steer players back and forth, maybe for every 3 we process that end up with them we get one back that wants to move up (and fits a need) and stay local.

Just got home .. thought given they flew back from Dublin six days ago things went pretty well. Win and move on.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and thought student section was great.
Hell yeah given holiday weekend student section was engaged and loud. The new 3rd down make some noise get up was nice

First off hat tip to GSU. I think they are going to do really well in the Sun Belt.

Second, a win is a win and I like it a lot. A three score win is even better.

Third, I felt we played very conservatively, especially on Defense. I don't recall a single blitz the entire game, and the O stayed fairly vanilla, especially early in the first half, and then again after we had opened up the lead.

Fourth, it was good to see Carrie and Pyron get a bit of playing time on that last drive. Also Carrie looks like a good punt returner.

Fifth, the refs tucked and did not call the game evenly. They said, we overcame the adversity and still won by 3 scores, I'll take it. It felt like everytime that we had a big play on the ground or on defense we got smacked with a penalty.

Sixth, find a way to survive in Syracuse and then let's see about putting VMI to bed getting guys rested up.

Seventh, D played very well, especially in the red zone. Definitely the unsung heros of the game.
