You might want to read the playoff rules. ACC is already GUARANTEED a playoff spot whether it's Miami, SMU, Clem's Son, or someone else. This conspiracy theory is a fail.

Wrong. The ACC is NOT guaranteed a playoff spot (no conference is), and is definitely not guaranteed a playoff spot with a bye week. There are 6+ conferences, the top 5 conference champions are guaranteed a playoff spot and the committee that screwed FSU last year gets to determine who those 5 are.
