I don't think Yates has JT's speed and cuts, but Yates is the better passer.

I think they have both played / are playing the offenses for which they are a fit.

ehh, I thought this about Sims after one Sims game (FSU), and have been wrong so far

Too early to call for Yates, but he deserves the job with this level of play.

Yates was very well-coached before he even got here. By his uncle TJ and QB guru Quincy Avery. If he was 6'2" or more, there would have been no question, IMO.

This is pure comedy. Go back and look at what we were saying on this board after TaQuon's first start, or Jeff Sims first start. I can assure you things won't be so easy for Yates in conference play.

He’s a baller for sure. There are guys who look good, then there are guys that just make it happen. Yates is the latter. In my opinion he’s earned a chance to start against a FBS opponent.
