Yes. Because our huge hiring of a lifelong D2 coach (or whatever) is so noteworthy to the hundreds of Tech fans that we need complete and undivided attention.
 
You gotta be optimistic at this point, because why not. But it seems valid here. Dude has done a pretty good job over the years, and he's obviously not using us as a stepping stone. Is he a decent recruiter? (How do you even evaluate that at the lower levels?)

Kinda reminds me how Wes Durham left. Was happy where he was... but reached that point in life where he realized if he ever wanted to try something new, time was running out to do it. So he jumped.

Depends on what you mean by stepping stone. Woody would probably jump at the opportunity to have the head job at Wofford.

Interesting. Is your comment based on personal knowledge? Or just the general assumption coaches want to be head coaches at their alma maters? I know nothing about the guy... but on the theory that he finally wants to be part of a P5 program, going back to Wofford — even as HC — might not be so attractive. Once he's tasted the big time here. (We're still big time in my book.)
 
Damn, missed the edit grace period...but are there any players worth poaching from Appy State? I assume they'd have to sit out a year and such.
