Houston just ran a beautiful option pitch play. Ward went down the line and waited to the last second to pitch, then took a big hit. It gave them a first down and the ability to avoid a late in the half punt from their own end zone. It seems to me Justin pitches too quick to avoid the big hit. Perhaps that is according to coaches' instructions. But, I just don't think the option pitch works if you pitch too soon.

Nice half, Cougars. Your Big 12 audition is going great. Just don't be too good and win this thing. The Sooners would have a long memory.

You know somebody is on the phone with this kind of shenanigan right now.

Really? I recall several times over the last couple years where he made incredible pitches extremely late. In some cases it took a second for announcers and others to even realize that he hadn't been tackled with the ball.

Random but ESPN's halftime studio recap has a new banner at the top of the screen showing the halftime score of the game being broadcast in your area. When they show the other's games highlights, that banner totally blocks the other's game scoreboard graphic.

Stupid and looks like hot garbage.

Gutsy to return a missed field goal in the middle of the third quarter of a game. 109.9 yards!
