Official Notre Dame-Texas Game Thread

None of our losses last year come close to losing to Iowa State last year.
When was the last time we played in a MNC title game? Yeah, that is what I thought. I have zero empathy for a school like Texas who has every known advantage on the planet.

Little known fact that Bobby Dodd was offered the Texas job back in 1956. Dodd thought long and hard about it but eventually turned it down and recommended Darrell Royal for the job. In his book, Dodd said he regretted turning down Texas for the rest of his life.

And, if some reliable people are to be believed, he was guaranteed to be a millionaire in a couple of years. A football coach in the late fifties!

We would have been more than ok for the 10 years after that. Would have gotten Frank Broyles or Ray Graves to replace him, and probably stayed in the SEC.
