It’s brand new. Used to have to give him a count to get his head up. They cleaned it up further to you can’t line up over him at all.

You’re right. It’s a recent rule to try and minimize injuries to the long snapper since they’re essentially defenseless.

Maybe not but there 100% was a “can’t rush over the snapper” rule that they didn’t enforce. Same guy did it twice and got two blocks. IIRC CPJ was bitching about that rather than celebrating to start the post game interview.
