Official Stingtalk Tailgate - NC State

As I recall, one person self-designates as the property protector. It is a simple job, you drink until you become as lifeless and still as the tables and chairs and discarded bottles. Splayed out amongst the trash on the soft grass of the bridge, usually the presence of an apparent corpse is enough to ward off potential thieves.
You were always the best property watcher. Very convincing as a corpse. Once I had to check for signs of life.

Context: Mullen was just on SC on Campus live at GT with Matt Barrie and pumped up the crowd with "what's the good word" and even gave the "how bout them dwags" at the end to a very audible "piss on em." Quality TV.
It makes me sad that the GTAA has basically banned the end of the What's The Good Word exchange. A few years ago they would let someone hyping the crowd start the exchange but never let them finish it. Haven't heard the first part over the PA system in a long time.

Spurrier had the best troll lines, and was a better coach
Spurrier had no equal when it came to trolling the dwags. Always wondered why Weaver didn't give him the job when Pepper left. I've mellowed a bit towards Curry - in retrospect, he went from us having the worst program in D1 to consecutive wins in CoFH in 4 years. And truthfully, we would have won in '83 but for one overthrown pass. But you gotta wonder what Spurrier would have done at GT.

Because he was 35 and his only experience was as a position coach (one season at Florida and one season at Tech). No one (except Duke, which made him an OC) could have foreseen his abilities, in fact Curry didn't even consider keeping him on as QB coach. Oh, well. Maybe if he had graduated from Tech...

Good answer. I really didn't think it thru but given we needed someone tough enough to gut out what the job was going to require and Curry ticked that box pretty good. Its actually not super clear to me how the dates line up - I don't know with certainty what date Curry was hired, what Weaver's last day was and what was Rice's first day on the job. I had to make an assumption that Weaver hired Curry and not Rice but I always just figured Rice hired Curry. That was my first year at GT and I had more important things to worry about - like how to smuggle exlixir into the stadium and a way to reliably drop my ID offf the top of the UE down to my buddy on the sidewalk so he could get in.

Peppers last year was my first year.
