Our people have reported back.

The perimeter spaces (of which Flunkout has one) should be open by noon. The entire lot should be open by three

First rule of the RV lot. Be super nice to the folks exiting the building. They could make our lives miserable and they are great about leaving work early to allow us to start the party.

I hate when I am forced to leave work early!

I've been to one of Flunkout's tailgates there. What business is that actually? GT fans should definitely show their appreciation, or is that a Tech building now?

Serious question. What are Stingtalkers like at tailgates? I will be flying solo for most of the games this year, so I was thinking about showing up. Also, DD services?

Just show up. The ST guys are decent in person. Not the d'bags you see here. Unless I make an appearance that is.

And no, we aren't driving your drunk ass around. But you are welcome to offer your DD services any time.

not really different than any other Techie group

though, once everyone is drunk (game time), a little rowdy at the stadium, just enough to get escorted out once in a while

As far as DD services, most use the 3-hour-game to sober up.

ST tailgate is a bunch of nerdy dudes which means it is like just about every other tailgate on campus.

Fwiw, 5th St bridge and Peters Deck along YJA have the best tailgate scenes on campus, imo.

But ST regulars are good guys. I'd visit more often but it's too far from my normal spot.

Amateurs.

First time attendees concerned with the subject of social awkwardness should probably show up a couple of hours late. By then, everybody has a couple of drinks (or more, depending on who is handing them out) and you'll be greeted as an old friend. I wouldn't wait much longer than that, however, or you may find yourself on the receiving end of something out of WCW.

That's how I remember the tailgate, anyway.

Generally, you want to arrive between the 2nd and 5th round of beverages. Otherwise, you will either be freaked out by the wizard costumes and necromancy or you'll wake up sore the next day. But if any of that sounds appealing, feel free to show up at your leisure.

How the öööö would you know what the tailgate is like? You haven't shown up to one in three years.
