There are WAY TOO ööööING MANY stoppages of play. With all the ways a game can and does get bogged down, it is getting harder and harder to enjoy football.

I don't know what should or can be done about it, but there is just way too much of it. Way, way, way, way too ööööing much of it.

One place to start would be with reconsidering the necessity of every penalty in the book. I wonder what the average time of a game is spent sorting out penalties including having to restart the play clock and resetting the lines. And there are too many damn penalties. Too many different ways a play can be whistled dead and the game stopped.

The chains repeatedly being ööööed up against Ole Miss was the final straw for me.

How many dead plays? How much dead time? It's becoming insufferable. It's killing the game to me and I'm seeing it everywhere now.

Any ideas on how any of this can be fixed?
