Every conference outside of the SEC and Big10 should get together on this. At least the Big 12 tried to stand up for Arizona State. Where was the ACC after we got ripped off on multiple calls against Georgia? These lone ranger complaints to the press get laughed at. The conferences outside of the SEC should band together for some remedies.

The ACC was happy we lost - that way they didn't have to send us to a "preferred" ACC tie-in bowl like the Gator or Mayo.

I really thought things would change when the B1G guy replaced Swofford but, like an idiot, I failed to consider that they would never replace Swofford with someone who would break the status quo.

Agree. The ACC has never been a friend to Georgia Tech. And it’s widely the most disrespected football conference.

Maybe NIL did to the ACC in basketball what it did to the SEC in football. Definitely seems like there is a shift in basketball power.

The basketball demise began with the advent of the 1 and done era. Pitino worked it like a maestro, but now these guys are so fundamentally unsound that they're either dunkers or 3pt hoisters. Anything in between is a lost art that consists of about 85-90% of a games chances.

Really makes ya wish we had thought more about the B1G when they approached us - was it about 10 years back? Damn ACC started out on Tobacco Road and it’s never really left. ACC was better than being GDI or the late unlamented Metro Conference, but times have changed, and the ACC has not.

Not really. ACC is just a shit conference. Nothing more.
Being in the ACC is kind of like the guy you let into the fraternity because you need the money. You just grin, bare it, collect the check, and hope by some miracle your AD is going to get you to another conference soon.

Question on the officiating - who sits in the control room in Charlotte to judge a review? I really don't know. Seems like an important job but likely some jerk who knew someone at the ACC office. ESPN put that Matt Austin guy on broadcasts to give his "expert" opinion and he appeared as dumb as the rest.

I hate non-stop complaining about officiating, but after Athens last season and then the Birmingham Bowl, I can honestly say that I have never seen a team have more egregious officiating errors go against them in back to back games than we did in those two.
I hate the targeting penalty, but what it is is clearly defined. I was watching the Peach Bowl with my brother, and during the review for Texas targeting towards the end, I told him that if all the people in the replay booth come back with no targeting, then the whole thing is rigged.
Also, on the Haynes King "fumble" at uga, if that hit is not targeting for whatever reason, it definitely was Spearing which has been a penalty for at least 50, maybe 100 years. Just my two cents, everyone stay warm out there.

The targeting on King and the targeting by Texas in the Peach Bowl are definition of what the rule is there to prevent. Our QB was basically delivered a head shot and was concussed into a fumble. It wasn't a strip or an aggressive tackle. The ASU WR was knocked out. Just get rid of the rule and we can go back to the days of Ronnie Lott headhunting WR's.

I am admittedly not a big nfl football watcher so was wondering how targeting fouls are called in the NFL. NFL targeting rules appear to be the same as CFB rules. So, is targeting called frequently. Do the refs seem to get it right? If so, what are they doing differently than CFB other than having a more consistent crew of refs?

The NFL refs work every game and team potentially. Partiality happens less often.

The NCAA is a very competitive “league”. Refs hear SEC Speed, SEC greatness, 10 SEC teams in the top 25, etc all the time. Refs can not help but be biased. Plus point spreads are bigger, one team is clearly supposed win. It affects humans.

So, AI robot refs
