OH we could use a FG kicker

Scott will be fine, he is not your normal kicker who becomes a headcase. I am more worried about the snapper/ holder as Coach J mentioned after the game. No reason for all these bad snaps on kicks.

But seriously, Blair should only punt, and kick off. What is that? 4 missed FG's and 1 missed PAT in two weeks? :puke: 15 points that we could have used. I want to have confidence in a kicker when it comes down to a crucial kick to win a game. Sam Swank for Wake Forest is money. UGA gave a scholly to a Kicker this year, CPJ should consider it. Open up the PK competition again and see if Yahiaoui can get the job done.
 
I honestly think you guys are being a little too hard on Scott. I grew up with this guy and this is something I have never seen him do. The guy is going to be fine and is an amazing kicker. He handles pressure really well and does not really get down on himself. Give him a chance and allow him to grow. Find another long snapper and holder while youre at it and I guarantee you he would be 3 of 5 right now and nobody would be complaining.
 
It's just so frustrating because we are used to having great kickers like Travis Bell and Luke Manget.

Give it a rest. Travis had his ups and downs, and Luke was just something special. Blair will come around, give him some time and a good snap/hold.

Exactly. It wasn't like Bell walked in and started hitting everything in sight. He took time to get better and early in his career was anything but automatic. Blair will be fine, he's just another example of our youth.
 
I'm a lot less concerned about Scott than I am about the center 3 OL. Just above average guards and center would transform this team into something really dangerous on O.
 
I was there and I strongly feel that our kicking game is going to be just fine. He has a strong leg and is gaining in confidence.
 
Our kicker isn't even the problem. There have been a lot of bad snaps and bad holds.
 
I would like to see Blair try a drop kick, It puts another guys on the line to block, makes the long snappers jobs just like a punt and if he got good at it, his percentage of making it wouldn't be any worse than his current percentage for FG's.

/just wants to give people more reason to call our team outdated.
 
Please stop blaming Blair...the snaps have been very poor. Even the one Scott hit on Saturday...the snap wasn't executed perfectly. It has to be cleaned up. Scott will be solid once the first half of the play gets fixed.
 
I think the title of this thread is misleading....anyone who pays attention to the game can clearly see that the snaps have been God-Awful.
