okay, time to get in trouble over here too.

IMHO, GT is one of the top 40 jobs in the

country (college). So of course plenty of coaches would want to come here.

What I want to know is specifically which coach is known to want to come here. Sorry it read as if we have to take leftovers.

Re: People are paid to determine if we should

I can well believe a lot of coaches would have been interested in the Tech job. What I would be more interested in knowing is whether they were still interested once they found out the rules of the house.

How about giving us the name of this great coach. I would love to know who wants to come here.

Answer to your question: At 7-4 against the schedule we face, Chan has earned a cooling of the seat and nine months of not having 'fans' calling for his head.

7-4 IS AN IMPROVEMENT. Every year has shown at least some improvement. Nobody fires a coach that has improved the program every year he has coached. THAT is a fact. To ignore reality is a sign of insanity.

The guy was runner up for ACC coach of the year. How can you not agree that we would look like total idiots if we fired Chan right now? We look like total idiots IMHO for even discussing it.

I cannot BELIEVE that we still are having this conversation. WE'RE THIRD IN THE FRIGGIN TOUGHEST CONFERENCE IN FOOTBALL. WE'RE RANKED IN THE TOP 25.

If you can't be content (not happy, not overjoyed, content) with the overall performance of Chan and the GT team this year, you need professional help IMHO.

How naive you are!

Do you think we can maintain a TOP 15 Defense YEAR-IN-AND-YEAR-YEAR-OUT?

With CCG's 90th ranked offense; that's what it will take to go 7-4 or 6-5!

What happens IF our "D" falls down to the 30th ranked in D-1-A (still pretty good)?

Our record geos from 7-4 to 4-7 in the blink of an eye!

You have been spoiled to the point of being delusional by DC JT's 12th ranked "D"; it won't last forever; CCG has WASTED 3 great yrs. of defense by winning "only" 7 games per yr.; we should have been winning 9 per yr. and stockpiling recruits to set us up for a strong BCS run; instead we have been stymied by CCG's crappy offense.

You're just not seeing the entire picture!

CCG's offense has been consistently poor the entire 4 yrs. he has been here, and we lose CJ after next season!

How can you give CCG a free pass for his crappy offense ?

Re: Why is his name secret?

Explain something to me please. Chan just got a 5 year extension. So he's here for the forseeable future unless something drastic happens. Or at least until we have a change in AD and possibly President.

Given that, what is the point of your continued diatribes?

We all know our offense has to produce more points. We get it. We really do.

You guys really want to fire a 7-4 coach? I can fully understand if you want to can Wilson, or hire an OC, but fire a 7-4 coach? Or another question, is winning 41-38 that much better than 10-9 or 14-7? After all, O'Leary was "saved" by Fridge's incredible offenses. Joe Hamilton could only stay around for four years. It wasn't like we were gonna have top 10 offenses every year.

WnE... you seem to not know very much about.

football.

if you look around the conference, teams like Miami and VT are basically the same.

Strong Defense, with lots of speed. Run the ball and control the ball, with playmakers at the skill spots.

if you think he needs a timemachine, maybe you should go watch more PAC1O games that go like 45-39.

that is not the ACC.

it would be instructive for you to go look at another "offensive genius'" stats. The Ball Coach at USoCarolina. Check out his run/pass stats, compared to ours. also, his natl stats.

also, you might note that we are the only team that Miami played that was able to get 11 plays of 10 or more yards against them. yet, you say Chan is not a good OC.

Perhaps you should stick to your fantasy league, and realize that college sport should be more about making men or boys than something to satisfy the shallow ego of a wannabe coach..
