I worked for a company that made corduroy, and in the late 1970's corduroy was all the rage. You could see corduroy suits, briefcases, everyone had cords as casual wear. My guess based on the fashion trend is the hat dates from that era.

Anyone know the history of this hat? Friend found it in an old warehouse in Augusta. Courderoy hat may be old or not. I’ve never seen one like it.

My granddad in Louisville GA wore this hat in the 90's, not sure when he got it or what happened to it...I did keep his 1990 National Champions hat with the green under-brim, that one makes it to a game every now and then.
