On 71 Plays We Had 70 Missed Assignments

Does a "missed assignment" include bad blocks, or is it just not getting to the right guy?

BTW, I'm pretty sure Johnson has previously said that a good game is less than 20 missed assignments.

For me a missed assignment wasnt getting to your spot correctly and getting beat. It was going to the wrong guy, spot, or the wrong way period.

It was all the more jarring considering the efficiency with which the Jackets had been playing. Last season, Tech tied an NCAA record for third-down efficiency last season (57.9 percent) and was ninth in the country in yards per play (6.72). In steamrolling Alcorn State and Tulane to start the season, Tech converted 9 of 15 third downs, averaged 9.1 yards per play and had punted three times in 25 possessions.

We set the record for 3rd down conversion percentage by a good margin. Stupid AJC.

I recall having a very slow offensive start in 2009. So bad I was worried after the clemson game even.

I recall us missing a ton of assignments in the Miami game in 09.

Thing is, though, I don't recall us missing much in terms of blocking assignments in 2014, in any game. JT got injured and had his Reggie moment vs Duke, and vs UNC our defense just quit running the plays being called.

At what point do the coaches confront the likelihood that they did a lousy job of getting the team ready for the game?

00,
what a cogent comment to make.If I hear that PJ "has seen it all (defenses)" again ,I'm going to puke. The same guys that say that, then this week wonder why we didn't adjust to their "scheme" -the 3 front or whatever.
It was BYU and Iowa again. Byu in the late West time is one thing but ND on SAT prime pm in a very HIGH profile game,REALLY hurts our chance for NATIONAL recognition that could throw some top new guys our way.
yep,The staff did drop the ball.

He did say the loss was on him.

If you buy it.

Yes. Stingtalk talk can commence hating on Bryan Chamberlain again. Last year was really tough on the Chamberlain haters.
