Monsoon game!

We beat UNC 28-20

I ruined my cellphone and had to buy another the next week. I think it may have been the last of the Blackberry's I ever owned.

Who was the UNC coach? I remember CPJ calling two timeouts at the end after UNC couldn’t stop the clock. Johnson was rubbing salt in the wound. I was an epic FU to UNC. I loved it even though it meant standing in the pouring rain.

Was it Fedora?

Ahhh, remember this one well. It was also Music Midtown weekend. Everyone stood the entire game so as to allow the rain ponchos to do their job. Had cell phones in plastic baggies, so no problems there. Rain went away right around the end of the game and then had a dry if not muddy Music Midtown evening. Shoes were toast after that!

That was a game where my seats in the back of lower east, under what little bit of overhang still exists, really paid off.

As monsoon games go, that one doesn't hold a candle to some of the games we've had at Clemson - I think 2002 was the hardest prolonged rain I've ever sat through.

Dad and I skipped that Clemson game. We were gonna leave early in the morning for Clemson. I called Dad and finally one of us said "why don't we just skip this one?" On TV, waterfalls heading down the stands and we lost.

My two memories of that game are the waterfall cascading down the upper stands where we were sitting, and our offense airing it out in the deluge with Tony Hollings standing in the backfield.

Gailey ball!

We are but a week away from the 25th anniversary of the infamous ’Anvil Night’ game against Maryland. It was GOL literally bring our program back from the dead.

Never again would the GTAA distribute seat cushions as a giveaway.

It’s only a snap shot of the carnage. Never forget. We will rebuild.
