We move to 5-0 by beating DaU.
Pregame, outside the UN, as the band plays on the stairs, a drunken, obnoxious Miami fan interrupts the dancing team and cheerleaders as the band plays.
A heroic Tech fan, nameless to this day, blindsides the Miami fan with a vicious takedown tackle. He then quickly gets up and disappears into the crowd....vanished....poof....Miami fan staggers to his feet and wobbily wanders off - being DaU punk no longer being fun

To this day I will never understand why they ran that defensive formation. It was like they looked at a snapshot of a bud foster defense and tried to recreate it from memory years later.

Yep. You could see JT5 figuring the numbers he had before each play
 
This game popped up on my Facebook memories thread today. This is the photo I took prior to the coin toss -both teams had their entire benches out at midfield.

i had to double check the schedule. Funny how I remember this game happening later in the year (potentially when it was cold), and taking place post dissapointing losses to Duke and UNC. In my memory it was:
Get really luck to beat Southern
Lose to UNC
Lose to Duke (and CPJ seat getting warm)
Then getting red hot to close out with Miami, Clemson, and UGA wins

The big home win against Miami was 2008
We beat Miami 4/5 after they joined the ACC. The beatdown they gave us in 2004 was followed by wins in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008....then....ugh
 
I took this picture just before our 4th and 2 play from the 7 yard line we ran for a TD to ice the game. They were watching Auburn/LSU. They literally watched none of our game all night.

Paul Johnson is certainly one of the best coaches in Georgia Tech history. Very few understand X’s & O’s like he does.

Yes, he was. A bit stubborn at times. It got old to repeat the when we were behind in a game and the option was obviously being shut down and we ended up just waiting till late in the 4th to start just chucking the ball long on telegraphed plays.

Great at what he did, no doubt. But failed when he tried to evolve his O to incorporate new sets.

Also, never had a clue about defense.
