Anthony Allen needs to ride the pine. His ass hasn't shown the ability to block in 3 games. If I were Coach he wouldn't see the field against UNC and maybe thereafter until he starts to "Get it". Cox is the best thing we're not using.

I think his playing time is causing friction elsewhere also.

IM totally in agreement. He was billed as some punishing RB that could block, catch and run through a wall. B F S- this cat has done nothing but miss blocks, flinch like a girl when getting hit, get burried behind the line.

Needs to be made to cut his hair or leave the team... second straight game someone grabbed his hair to make the tackle.

Seems like to me AA's liabilities as a poor blocker is far greater than his assets as a ball carrier and receiver. However, it's hard to argue against CPJ who believes in the philosophy that the best 11 players will be on the field.

I mean, seeing as blocking is crucial to CPJ's offense, I don't see how AA gets any playing time unless he's blocking well in practice.

I think his playing time is causing friction elsewhere also.
Wow, never thought about it this way. Was this a shot in the dark or is there some kind of substance to this?

I tellin you, Rosanne Rosannadanna

Kinda sucks cause I think he is a strong runner, but with this offense there is no guarantee on what play he carries the ball. Damn if that doesn't make him too much of a liability.

The JSU game he laid a guy out for the Dwyer run..., but it appears that it won't be happening often.

Also, his big run against Clemson...I assume Jones and Wright could have done just as well?

The only thing he has been good at is catching the ball out of the backfield. I was hoping to see more swing passes or wheel routes to him in this manner tonight.

An A back he is not

Agreed. AA should take snaps at B Back. I know he's done it a bit in practice. Marcus Wright can flat out block, so can Roddy. That's why we run the ball better when AA is carrying it because he isn't having to block. We're also wasting Lucas Cox on the sidelines. He blocked well last year and ran very hard with the rock.

cox at b back, dwyer and roddy at the a back positions is the way it should be and A llen should be behind Cox at the b back

All Dwyer is gonna get is stuffed this year until we can call a set of pass plays that loosen up a D. I'm tired of seeing 9 in the box all night long. I'm sure he is, too.

Put in Cox. He was a difference last year, and one of few with the ability, size, footwork, and COMPETITIVE INSTINCTS to be an effective blocker.

Kevin Cone needs to do the same... two block-in-the-backs?!?! ON CRUCIAL PLAYS? ONE ON A TOUCHDOWN RUN? Hope you enjoyed your stay... now go get the team some water...
