One of our own coaching in Athens

You can be a fan it's just odd you don't have a degree from tech. Why would you grow up a tech fan if your mom or dad or grandparents or extended family went or played here and then attended Georgia?

Makes no sense. It's just my opinion downtown Athens smells awful and that whole place is a cess pool.

Well in his case he's got 2 kids on the football team. So it's probably understandable

Im a UGA grad and letterman, can I still be a fan? Or do I need to sell my season tickets and RV pass? Not to mention the $3000.00 of GT "stuff" purchased over the past 2 years :).
Don't pay any attention to Bob. He is a troll who even goes so far as to contact recruits while posing as a Tech fan. He's claimed success in scaring off at least one Tech basketball recruit.

I did not grow up being a GT or UGA fan. My parents got their Master Degrees from Vandy. Will was a UGA fan when he was younger. His decision to attend GT was based on the combination of academic reputation and athletics. Making a decision to attend a school because you grew up a fan of a football team or your parents / extended family played somewhere is not the best decision process.

Only if you let us sleep in your RV.

Agree that Athens is a cess pool. I do think that we need to get rid of the idea (or maybe assumption) that if you are a Tech fan then you either went to school at Tech or grew up in a family of Tech fans. The fan base needs to grow and for that to happen there needs to be a large number of Tech fans that do not fit into either category.

Only one way to make that happen. Win.

No argument here. The alums and life-long fans will be the only ones without winning.

I wouldn't concern myself too much with the original poster. He has made it clear on a couple of occasions that he is a UGA fan. He seems to enjoy coming around here making posts like the one that started this thread in an effort to stir folks up and troll the unwary.

Ignore him, and he will slink away soon.
