Who will be the best offense we face this year? I would expect UGA or FSU. UGA is stout on the O-line, so the little spoon will have some time in the pocket. FSU has a good O-line, too, but their WR positions are having issues, right? That would be like us having RB issues, they really love to pass the ball.

It won't be FSU unless the starts align. Not only are their wide receivers less experience than ours even when you take out Bebe Thomas, but everyone's assuming Ponder is going to be swell at QB. I'll give him the doubt for now cause he's an upperclassman but I'd keep my eye on him if I was an FSU fan.

UGA will win that contest for the regular season simply cause they'd of had 12 weeks prior to work out their issues.

By game 11 UGA will have their growing pains ironed out.

I don't really think there's that many good offenses in the ACC, honestly. I'm glad NC State isn't on our schedule this year.

It does seem like everyone on our ACC slate has some pretty big question marks.
UVA - Sewell is back running a new 'spread like' offense.
Duke - is just Duke(que the nervous laughter).
U M.I.A. - young starter under center that saw decent action last year under a new O.C. in a turbulent program
F$U - wideout$.
Clempson - yet undecided young QB battle and 1st yr under Dabo.
Wake - graduated a ton on D last year.
VT- TT remains injury prone and a suspect performer until proven otherwise and isnt his backup a tight end?
UNC - wideouts

the best offense we will face is our own in practice every day

Wake or UNC will both be somewhat tough but not amazing by any means. I would lean towards Wake since UNC lost Hakeem Nicks and Brandon Tate.

I have not a whit of confidence in UNC's offense. They took losses on the O line. Their leading receiver is a former fullback. Their returning running backs are both upperclassman but aren't anything special. They have a fair starting QB but once he's injured they either put in the QB who was the backup last year but was pulled in favor of the 3rd string junior (who transfered) or a greenhorn.

Vandy. No Joke. They are actually gonna probably be pretty good this year.

-Ugay
-FSU close second (you don't need great receivers to move the ball in college ball when the o-line and QB are solid)

How solid is the quarterback? Not familiar with what he has done cept he had a few inconsistent games, worst of which was the one against BC that cost em the trip to Tampa. I've also heard that claiming that FSU's quarterback is about to have a breakthrough season is a oft repeated phrase. I might be wrong and it's just things I've heard but that is why I ask.

1.)FSU- experienced OL and QB...lots of speed. I went to every home game last year, and FSU's speed was the fastest we faced.
2.)Wake- Senior QB with one of the best HC's in all of college football.
3.)NC State- When we face them in the ACCC(:D), they have Wilson, a mobile QB with a nice arm.
4.)UGA-Always talented. Always tough. Logan Gray will probably be starting by then.
5.)Miami- Talent and I think Harris is the real deal.
6.)Clemson-Spiller...that's about it
7.)UNC-By default really
8.)Virginia Tech- Until they prove it, they stay here. I've heard for 5 years how they are about to turn the corner
9.)Vandy- I have respect for Bobby, but I must admit I have no clue about where their strengths lie.
10.)UVA- They move to the spread, and I think Groh loses his edge on us. They always gave us trouble with big mauling OL's...no more.
11.)Duke-Senior QB, but new OL, no star WR= Thad running for his life
12.)Miss State- New system with no parts besides Dixon, who really isn't a spread RB.
13.)Jax State- Greg Smith and Perriloux....that's it.
