I'm excited about our upcoming Yellow Jackets football. I live in Chattanooga. I'm internet only (EPB fiber 1 Gig). No cable or dish. Over the last few seasons I have, like others, run into blackouts trying to watch our games.

I'm surprised Chattanooga is blacked out.

I have been reading some posting to try to find some workable solution (Hulu, Utube, others) for the football and basketball season.

If I can get ESPN3 will I be able to get the games live? If not, on a ESPN3 rebroadcast viewing?

I'm a long time Ga Tech fan since the 50s. It is frustrating that it is so difficult in this highly technical time to be able watch our guys play. As always, I'm for Ga Tech and who evers playing Georgia.

There are some options out of Europe that may require the use of a proxy server. I haven't had to resort to that for some time so lost the bookmarks but others may be able to help.

If it's televised, you can watch it. Just takes some ingenuity.

Does Chatt not get ACC Network?
I'm internet only. I'm thinking maybe Hulu (acc network and espn) but I may run into the blackout issue. I read else where that even if you use vpn, they may not allow it.

You need a VPN that will allow you to appear to be somewhere else. My weapon of choice is Proxify but bring your wallet.

I have AT&T TV, soon to be DirecTV Stream. I live in ATL so obviously not blacked out but I wouldn’t think that ACCN would black out anything that is on it. Bally either, right?

This is the correct response, if jerry-rigging a VPN isn't an option. I've bitten the bullet for Braves and ATL UTD games. But, fair warning:
  • It's more expensive than the other streaming options.
  • The stream is somewhat janky. I get random buffering and time-skips way more than when I used Hulu or Youtube TV (or PSVue, RIP)
  • The recording/pause/rewind functionality simply doesn't work. Like, the buttons are there but I've never been able to successfully pause a live program and get it to start again where I paused it. It will tell you it's recording something but if you try to watch the recording, it just never comes up. You have to treat it simply as an old-school cable feed without a Tivo.
It absolutely sucks but I guess I'm a big enough Atlanta sports fan to put up with it.

VPN + ESPN Player

It may set cookies for whatever country - I was in the UK - you're using, but it "should" let you subscribe (YMMV) to ESPN Player, the international ESPN3.

Just checked this using a VPN location of Glasgow, Scotland, UK & was able to access ESPN Player..... usually there's a month-to-month fee you can pay, but it's cheaper than parking around the stadium.

And there are all kinds of bootleg streaming sites you can find via DuckDuckGo or Google. The URLs change from time to time, but once you find the basic ones you like, it's easy to find your games. Currently using https://enjoy.stream2watch.sx/baseball-1/ for Braves games, but it works for others, too.

More expensive, yes. You get what you pay for.

Jerky stream? I have AT&T fiber and I might see a buffering issue once a month at most.

Pause/Rewind/FF live TV was just added for Roku, and coming to other platforms. If something is recorded, I never have any issue rewinding or FF on Roku, the AT&T osprey box, computer, tablet, Fire TV 4K, etc.

Sounds like you might be having some other issues.

Definitely a lot of available channels.

I get buffering or time-skip probably a couple times an hour. They just installed fiber in my neighborhood so you probably have had better bandwidth but I didn't have this problem with the other streaming services for the last ~5 years.

I'm using the app on a Samsung smart tv. Maybe that's the issue?

I'm thinking on using Hulu+TV to get ACC Network. With VPN, set your location to out of country? Would my ESPN default to international or is that something that I need to take some additional steps to access? Failing this is possible to check out on this forum on the day of the game to see what up for viewing?

If you wanna watch the Braves too then attv. If not YouTubetv will work.

Nobody’s going to tell this guy that Atlanta’s just a short drive from Chattanooga?? I’m losing faith in Stingtalk.
Perspective is everything. Seems like you are being critical without allowing for circumstances. I have always used Stingtalk to keep up with Ga Tech Teams. Sad that there is a "biting" element at times. Kind of taints my looking here as a friendly Tech site.

They don’t mean anything by it. Kind of like a bunch of brothers giving each other a hard time.

For anyone else having this issue:

There is a known issue with the recent Samsung smart tvs running the ATT TV app that I just found upon googling. Apparently you have to cold boot your tv occasionally whenever the ATT app screws up. I just tried it and was able to play a recording. So, it's still kind of annoying but better than I thought.

Dude, I’m a sidewalk fan that makes it to one game a year and I only live 2.5 hours away. It was a joke. You clearly haven’t been reading this site enough if you think that comment was “biting.”

For almost all of the Tech football, basketball, and baseball games that weren't on some TV network, I was able to watch live and for free at the following link --- http://4k.freestreams-live1.com/accnetwork-tvus/
I have Malwarebytes installed on my system, and I always get a warning from them on the above link, but I hit "Continue Anyway" and go straight to the ACC Network page. Depending on which "button" I then click, I go to the current broadcast. I just checked it out a couple of minutes ago, and I get a soccer match from somewhere in Europe. I don't know if the ACC Network is carrying that now for lack of anything better, or there is nothing currently on the ACC Network at all. But it DOES work, and it is always free.

I live 2.5 hours away, and I have been a season ticket holder since 1968
