Options for Tv or online

As of now, if you want RSN's and don't want traditional cable, our only option is AT&T TV, soon to be DirecTV Stream.

Choice
ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNNEWS, FS1, NBCSN, TBS, TNT, TruTV, Local FOX/NBC/ABC/CBS Affiliates (if available), RSN, ACC Network, SEC Network, Big 10 Network, MLB Network, NBA Network, Tennis Channel, TVG. What am I missing here? Are you trying to find a free solution? Is SlingTV not an option? I buy it for football season every year, then cancel it for the rest of the year. It's relatively easy, an generally less expensive than other options.

I don't mind paying. If I have to, I will go the free route. I have tried Sling. Didn't like. Akward to use and not good performance for me. I'm 1 Gig internet so not slow.

Its shame that circumstances have made it needlessly difficult.

Thanks all for some direction. I'm ready for some kick ass over achiever Ga Tech football... and finally basketball.

What circumstances have made it more difficult than it used to be to watch GT football in Chattanooga?

I would argue you that you more options than you used to, not less. You have the EPB fiber, get AT&T TV.

Seems to me that you are making the circumstances more difficult than they need to be.

I think Sling is a great Option for a person who has Comcast or any cable provider without the ACC Network (RSNs will be provided by Cable Company and ACC Network vis Sling)

The question was what streaming option provides both ACC Network and RSN since Georgia Tech football will be on both of those channels. ( I am guessing said person also only wants one bill???)

I'm thinking on using Hulu+TV to get ACC Network. With VPN, set your location to out of country? Would my ESPN default to international or is that something that I need to take some additional steps to access? Failing this is possible to check out on this forum on the day of the game to see what up for viewing?
That’s what I use. Hulu +Live TV. No issue if the game is covered on local channels or ESPN or ACC Network. Currently there is an issue with games on local Fox Sports regionals live Fox Sports South, Sunshine Network, etc. because they’re owned by Sinclair who refuses to come to an agreement with Hulu and several other providers. This affected 2-3 games last year. I was able to watch them on the Fox Sports Go app on my mobile device by signing into the app as a friend of mine who has DirectTV which Sinclair did have an agreement with.

For the VPN folks, being somewhere else doesn’t solve any if this because local blackouts weren’t the issue exactly. I suppose they were blacked out on WatchESPN because the game was being covered by a RSN and prehaps if ESPN thought you were somewhere else it wouldn’t be blacked out but I wouldn’t count on it. If I recall, ESPN requires you to identify who your TV provider is (Hulu in my case) and the blackouts are based on that, not your location.

This probably isn't helpful in your situation, but it might be helpful to others throughout the season:

Maybe connect with these guys and see if there are local watching parties at a bar:

This is the correct response, if jerry-rigging a VPN isn't an option. I've bitten the bullet for Braves and ATL UTD games. But, fair warning:
  • It's more expensive than the other streaming options.
  • The stream is somewhat janky. I get random buffering and time-skips way more than when I used Hulu or Youtube TV (or PSVue, RIP)
  • The recording/pause/rewind functionality simply doesn't work. Like, the buttons are there but I've never been able to successfully pause a live program and get it to start again where I paused it. It will tell you it's recording something but if you try to watch the recording, it just never comes up. You have to treat it simply as an old-school cable feed without a Tivo.
It absolutely sucks but I guess I'm a big enough Atlanta sports fan to put up with it.

My experience has been the same with AT&T TV. Not a television issue either as I use an LG Smart TV and a Sony Smart TV and have the same experience across both platforms. Never had similar issues with Hulu Live.

It sucks but it is really the only foolproof streaming option until the end of CFB season. Hulu will have my business back in a second if they would just come to an agreement with Sinclair.

So, Hulu + LiveTV vs. Youtube TV for getting the most GT content? Opinions? I also have an attic antennae that I can pick up and record OTA from Atlanta, Chattanooga, etc.

This seems to be the best approach. You just have to get creative on games carried by Sinclair. I’m thinking sports bars. Should just be a couple games. Kennesaw State is the first (and only one already designated a such).
