Oregon player suckerpunches Boise player after game

Blount was talking **** before the game, BSU guy talked **** after the game. Blount deserved the **** talking after his **** talking. Whether the guy deserved the punch for **** talking, I don't care, but if you're **** talking anyone at anytime, you should be ready to get punched for talking **** :)

Or if someone else is talking **** you should be man enough to not talk ****.

I realize many wrongs don't make a right, but I hope the Boise State guy taught the entire college football world a lesson last night.

That if you antagonize someone after a game they will punch you and become suspended? Sounds like a good tactic to me.

I moreso hope the Oregon guy taught the college football world a lesson that if you produce on the field, you don't have to try and prove your cavemanhood off the field after the game.

I saw a little of it, my thoughts. boise player suspended a game or two. Oregon player suspended for the year. Will be surprising if boise player files charges.

No matter the outcome, don't lose your composure. It's hard, I've walked off the field crying before I was so mad but I never retaliated once in my life.

Oregon coach has no control just by that one action. Peterson apparently has a chip on his shoulders and has allowed his players to blantently talk ****.

Trash talking does go on but this is ridiculous. Handshakes need to end. They have enough time after the game to cool down to see other players by the buses.

the bsu player is as big a punk as the osu player. that being said no one came to defend the bsu kid after he was punked.

I can see that a few of you haven't played a day of tackle football in your life. Trash talking much worse than "Good game bitch" goes on when you're on the field. Who cares that the Boise State guy said that. He didn't "deserve" to be punched, as all of you are saying.

I don't care if the guy said "I f-ed your mom last night and she was the best I ever had." People say demeaning things when you are playing football and you just shrug it off. Well, the great ones shrug it off. The losers don't. Blount is a loser, plain and simple. His draft prospects have just gone down because of that. The Boise guy was just doing what guys do when they play football and Blount isn't man enough to just utter something intelligent back. Instead he was like, "Me caveman, me can't think fast enough to come back with something, me punch you."

+1. Eddie George told me I tackled like a pussy when my highschool team played his amongst other things he said. I was a notorious ankle tackler because I was tall and lanky and he didn't like me going for his ankles when he was trying to get to College ball.

Smack talk goes on all the time. Not to mention gut punches on the bottom of tackle piles.

True, but don't grab me so you can continue to talk smack... That is the only reason he even sort of deserved it.

No...that's it's best to just accept your win and congratulate the other team/guy. In other words, take the high road and don't stoop to the other guy's level....no matter how idiotic/arrogant/etc he or they may have been.

He could have told Blount "Good Game" with a hint of sarcasm in the statement and left it at that.

No harm, No foul.

Although the I don't condone it, I can understand to some extent. If I'm not mistaken, the Oregon guy did tell him to chill and lay off prior to the punch.

I can't say that put in the same situation, the thought wouldn't cross my mind. But, it's over now...for real. He's done for the year.

I would like to see the BSU guy get some sort of repremand. If for anything, to basically be made an example of. There should be 2 Standards set forth after this.

Don't Taunt
Don't Fight

Keep it on the field for 60 minutes. If I'm not mistaken taunting is a 15 yd penalty during the game and a personal foul. Aren't players ejected if they get 2 in a game? I can't remember and may only be basketball.

I think a sucker punch is chicken#%&@ though. He said something then BAM

I would imagine the kid from Boise St. will run until his feet bleed. If you wanna talk S***, do so during the game, but when the final whistle blows it's over IMO. My question, since I did not see the game, is how much did the BSU player play in the game. What would be worse IMO is if he didn't see the field for any action.

I saw above that the Oregon player is gone for year. Only thing the school should have done IMO.

Black eye for both programs. S*** talking and retaliation. What should have been a stellar night for BSU will now only be remembered for the altercation afterwards.

GO JACKETS!!!!!!

It's BS that nothing further is going to happen to the Boise kid. They just had the WAC commissioner on ESPN and he said Boise is not going to further punish him. That is garbage.

I don't condone the punching, but the Boise player almost deserved it. That was a trash move.

Had the Oregon player not punched the Boise kid I wonder if people look at the Boise kid differently. The fact that he got decked seems to be blinding people. He's in the same class as the kid who decked him if you ask me and should have to sit out a game or two if you at least. The Oregon kid definitely deserves what he's getting.

This makes me hate Boise even more.

The one thing that made this even more disgusting to me is that one of Blount's teammates was trying to help him by calming him down and keeping him back, and Blount blatantly shoved him in the face, very hard, twice. Opponents that are taunting you? That's one thing. Your own teammate trying to help you? That's pure bull****.

I've always hated Boise St., so I don't really care. Both sides did bad, but I hope it doesn't affect his NFL career.

Blount talked crap about how he as gonna run all over them. When he didn't, Hout let him know. Trash talking is part of sports so I have no problem with him not being suspended.

If you say you're gonna run the ball all over them, do it. Don't go psycho when somebody reminds you that you didn't do it.
