No there is no contradiction, IMO.

I'm willing to bet that by the Time a Player gets a scholarship for a P5 CFB Program, and by the Time he works his way up the Depth Charts and is getting playing time in Games, that Player(s) has been taught everything he needs to know about his position, the exception being some obscure STs related rules.

Even though I was never a fan of Option FB, I do believe that CPJ properly taught & developed his Teams and when they screwed up in Games it wasn't due to poor Coaching , it was due to players not performing under game pressure.

Sorry, I'm just not a blame the Coaching kind of Guy, never have been, especially for in Game stuff where the Player has to make a Play.

UGA doesn't have Secondary with Big Ten speed and they can rush the passer better than those Big Ten Teams

MSU had the worst pass defense in P5 coming into that Gm , yes Worse than our pass defense, they won Games on Ball Control, running the ball , burning clock and keeping the other Offenses on their sideline, they simply ran into a bad match up.

I will admit OSU is getting hot at the right time

Well, I have one guy arguing we can't have better assistant coaches because we pay so little; and you arguing our assistant coaches are not a problem. Of course you keep talking about freshmen and sophomores when I am talking about assistant coaching staff so there is that.

You do realize that all these Neo Fans of Wake is because they think it supports their flawed narrative about GT FB.

They think we can run some gimmick crap offense like Wake and load up for a good Team every 5 years like Wake, rather than take the obvious path, which is Recruit better local talent, they are there , 70 to 80 of the Top 100 Players in GA can get into GT as FB Player, they can graduate, we now have a Communications Major.

Once we get the Players, develop & train them, then unleash them on the ACC.

Things really are simple when you have loads of nearby Talent, we make things harder than we need to, if you notice our hated Rival up the Road they never over complicate things, by not over complicating thing their bad years are 10-3 over a 15 yr stretch with The Reverend in charge

We just need to simplify things, remember that it is FB, and we can win 9-10 Games per yr playing in a mediocre ACC, if we just simplify things.

MSU is also 24th in total offense and getting shut out by a mediocre defense.

OLine & the secondary coaches are a Problem
 
That OSU can do this to a top 10 team just speaks to why CFB is becoming progressively less interesting. Absolutely no point in expanding the playoffs.
