Ouch...this one stings..

doesnt matter who posted this article, point is, we are shown to be a classless fan base on national TV and ongoing in articles like this.

We have a tradition to uphold at GT!!!

During the early '60s (late '50s?)we were on national TV and back then it was a rarity and a very, very big deal. The TV announcer says: "The Tech fans sure seem to be upset by that call....let's go down and listen to what they're saying."

Loud and clear on national TV it comes through: "Bull****, Bull****, Bull****, Bull****....."

We were not on national TV again for many, many years.

Then, there was the infamous fish tossin' incident with ND and the seat cushions against Maryland....
yup. We're just keeping the tradition alive.

The acts described were ridiculous and need to be stopped. There is no excuse for Tech students/fans to act that way. But this topic has been all over the internet since last Saturday. You can find it on ESPN, the Boston papers, the ATL papers, numerous blogs, etc. It was talked about live by ESPN radio during the game. There's also a thread here about trouble in the student section and DRad has posted/emailed a new Good Word specifically talking about apologizing to BC and steps to control crowd behaviour.

The point I and others are making is about GeeTee personally. We're wondering why we only hear from him when something bad is going on? This is the only kind of Tech news you will ever see from the guy. He's not interested in any kind of discussion, just pointing out what's wrong with Tech.
