good point. i was also surprised that it took so long to get the ball to Smith. Maybe this week we can grow the lead fast enough to get to see Martin too. Never heard anything of him in fall practice but he's the only 4star in that position group. not so unusual for a frosh RB to be a contributor.

Alot of truth...It is going to take decades to overcome this hire, unless they go back to the TO. But if I am Jeff Monken I do not return AD Tstan phone call.

Jamey Chadwell may be able to make us competitive, but being in ACC title games, Orange Bowls like Paul Johnson had us in, I just do not see it, Collins has Tech as a super soft team with no resiliency. His recruits and transfers are overrated.

Well, he & others blamed a lot on Clemson and their supposed #1 ranked defense. Add West Carolina to the pile & this is what we got so far:

Smith 20/137, 6.6 ypc 3 TDs and that's with 3 unproductive runs where we had folded the tent with up the middle runs at end of game 1 when we quit
Sims 21/11, 4.2 ypc 0 TDs, sacks in there but he can scramble effective and the option plays are solid for him

Now we got the dead wood & I don't understand why they're even on the field other than hypey, media BS trying to put lipstick on a pig to lure other talent here with playing time as the bait:

McDuffie 11/32, 2.7 ypc 1 TD
Hall 9/26, 2.4 ypc, 0 TDs

This is just roster management & coaching 101. Now there's only 3 options here:

a. Long is short on ability as an OC
b. Collins is dictating who's playing
c. Capable back ups to Smith are not healthy, but still does not explain why the 2 dead wood are playing ahead of Smith

This smells of rampant GT incompetence under this regime. If I was Long, I wouldn't sink with the Collins ship. He might have another gig lined up and GT is just a gap filler & he'll go with the flow for 1 year. If so, screw him.
