Time to give credit where it is due. Harrison Butker has been absolutely lights out during this young season. He is 100% on FG's and XP's. I also can't think of a single kick off that has been returned. Here's to him keeping up the great work!

Punting on the other hand...

There was one, maybe two in the Vandy game, but I certainly don't disagree with your assessment of his performance. Yesterday's pointing was actually really good. Punt coverage was very good too.

Punting has been much improved in the past 2 games. And Butker has 3 FG for the season. Not a lot of chances.

GT may have one of the best ST units in the nation, which is about the most underwhelming "best in the nation" thing to have. It is what it is.

butker is likely the only nfl hopeful we have right now.

Maybe Freddie Burden as well.

It's pretty tough to make it to the NFL as a starting kicker, since they have such long careers and there are only 30 kickers.

Dammit, I just realized saying "one of the best ST units in the nation" has just doomed us to a muffed punt, a KO return for a TD and three missed FG's in the Pitt game.

Are you certain about that number?

Mills. Two and a half years and a wake up, and we'll have a dominant, heart driven, unstoppable back that defenses will piss themselves with dread to have to get run over by him.
Pretty much all that's missing now is opponents don't fear him.

An excellent point. I wouldn't say fear him, but certainly as we establish our ability to get 100+ ypd game from the BB, they will have to stop being as aggressive on the outside. The key to our offense being successful is hitting that century mark with the BB.

Stewart on punt returns is a breath of fresh air. Looks very comfortable fielding the punts and seems to get by the first guy every single time. Just looked up the stats and he's 9th in the country in punt returns avg at 16.2 ypr (over 6 returns). I wouldn't mind trying to get him the ball on some smoke routes a little more often.

Gotta hand it to the staff...we've been lights out with our specialist recruiting.

So long as our OL makes any sort of hole for him.

Our best player is Mills. We Need to get this kid the ball in every way imaginable (except him passing) 20+ touches per game if possible
