I believe they stayed with the 4-3 scheme they switched to for UNC. The difference is, after the UNC game they said (I seem to recall reading it in an article somewhere), that they were going to leave the 4-3 package and add in 'wrinkles' to it.

I think what CPJ is saying is that they are going to take the 'wrinkles' out again.

That and not rotating players as often.

We ran quite a bit of 3-3-5 during the 2nd half of FSU, actually, and we rotated Morgan to the field side instead of the boundary side to adjust our contain. Seemed to work vs FSU, but I'm not sure it'll work vs VT if they decide to just line up in the I and run off tackle all day.

Point is, we DID make adjustments in the FSU game, and they were pretty drastic adjustments.

Yeah, and that 3rd down play where our defensive scheme confused their receivers and they collided causing an incomplete pass. We need to keep that one in the playbook.

That was my favorite play, I mean impeccable defense, it is like Morgan Burnett knew to guide one of the receivers into the other guy, pure genius.
