The win in '90 was the 6-3 win over Virginia Tech (hangover game which followed 41-38, part I). And the only other time we scored in single digits and won an ACC game was in a 9-0 win at Duke in 1985.

We haven't even had many defensive struggles since then. The only two that come to mind are two 13-7 games: the win over Syracuse in '01 and the upset win over UVA in '96.

Jon Tenuta, this Bud's for you!

One positive note, you need a great defense to have a defensive struggle, much less win one against a team rated higher then you. I admit to being worried until the game ended, but I did have confidence the defense would hold on unless something bizarre happened.

Me too ncj...and we have a GREAT defense!
I just felt after we went down 3-0 that the defense would put us in a good position to win and they did!
