Our most crucial game left is this Saturday..

At the risk of redundancy, the most important game of our season is this Saturday. Once that is over, we can talk about something else.

Exactly. It will either be Clemson or BC in the Atlantic division and this game will tell us how good we really are.

What is best for the program is a UGAy win. A united fanbase and an increased number of butts in the seats.

This is all absurd anyway, because if we lose to UGAy odds are very slim we'd win the ACCCG game. It would most likely lead to another end of the season swoon.

If I had to choose between Orange Bowl trip and beating UGA, it would be beating UGA. Baby steps. One thing at a time. UGA is infinitely more important than the Orange Bowl in terms if fan psyche. That is just the plain God honest truth. If we ended up in the Gator or Peach but beat UGA over losing to UGA and going to the Orange.... the first sounds more appealing to me.

The fan base is united now....the ten or so folks that are not happy will be unhappy even if we went 13-0 for four years straight under CG.

We, the Tech fans, are having fun this year...too bad some choose otherwise. I know I am having a blast!

Exactly, this IS a fun year and we're right in the middle of it (the most fun I've had since the Final Four run of 2004). The next three weeks will be crucial and full of anxiety and angst. I hope I've got the nerves for it.

a) You're delirious.
b) If we lose to UGAy you will see just how delirious you are.

Hopefully that doesn't happen, though.

One game at a time though.
I agree with that statement for the players, coaches and staff, but I don't think it means near as much for the fans. I see no problem with looking ahead if you are a fan, unless it 1) Keeps you out of the stands for the current game, or 2) Lowers your enthusiasm when you're in the stands, or (possibly) 3) Causes the press to start focusing on the future, and that somehow influences the players/coaches/staff when they read it.

Otherwise, we can talk about whatever we want to, we're just fans :D

Since the 1990 SEASON, this ranks up with the UVA game at UVA.

We win this and we then control a lot of things best is the "Bull Dawg Nation" press and papers.

You guys are smoking something bad for you.

The corner has been turned wrt UGA. We will be favored this year, and may be favored for years to come with our momentum and their status. Anything can happen on any Saturday so if they pull off a Miracle on 11/25 don't let it ruin your year.

Beating UGA means a little bragging rights and little else. We are recruiting just fine in GA despite a four year UGA losing streak. HS kids just don't care about these things. 'History' for them was last week, not who won when they were in middle school. And the sidewalk fans we can get mostly aren't from Georgia and will be more impressed with a BCS bid and a top 5 ranking.

Making a BCS bowl is something that is much harder than beating the dogs. We need to strike while the iron is hot. This one is ours for the taking. Beating the dogs and going to Nashville vs a Holiday in Miami with GT being featured for a month as one of the nations elites?

We may have already turned the corner, and a BCS bowl may indeed be more important for our program than beating UGA, but I'm still with BOR that if I had to choose between Orange Bowl trip and beating UGA, it would be beating UGA.

Exactly that. Us fans have no significant influence on the game whatsoever so we can look ahead all we want. This "one game at a time" speak is only good for players and coaches who can have direct impact on the outcome of the games.

Agreed!

It's like rather winning a $10 bet with your most hated enemy than winning the lottery. Granted the enemy will rub his win in while nobody rubs in losing the lottery. But ignore the sorry dawgs this year. Focus must be on winning the big one when the chance is there.

The order must be MNC, ACC Champs, State Champs.

If we didn't have our perspective clouded by a rivalry game that we've lost five straight times, we would heavily favor Georgia Tech against Georgia. They lost to Vandy, nearly lost to Ole Miss and Colorado and gave up a half century to Tennessee.

I am concerned if they can get their crap together by the time we play them, but I don't think they will. At this point, it looks like Stafford might play out the rest of the year. If that happens, then Tenuta would have a mighty second thanksgiving feast. Not to mention how their receivers apparently have concrete blocks for hands and how truly uninspired their defense has played.

In the end, if we are a team that will go to the Orange Bowl, then we're also a team that will beat UGA easily. Here's to hoping that indeed both will happen, which could greatly benefit our program for years to come.

I agree that beating UGA is a must this year.

To win out including beating UGA would be a twice in a lifetime experience.

To lose several along the way including losing to them would be bad.

To win out except for losing to them would be humiliating.

Also, I am a little amazed at how cocky we are getting because our rival has lost two in a row and because we had an off-week after narrowly beating a team at home we were supposed to handle easily. There is still a lot of football to be played...

"KEEP YOU HEAD HELD HIGH BUT KEEP YOUR FEET FIRMLY ON THE GROUND"

The most important game for Ga Tech is this Saturday against Clemson.

After that, win or lose, the most important game in all college football is Miami.

After that, win or lose, the most important game in all college football is NC St.

After that, win or lose, the most important game in all college football is UNC.

After that, win or lose, the most important game in all college football is Duke.

After that, win or lose, the most important game in all college football is UGA.

In that order and one week/opposition at a time.

Never will there ever be a game any more important than the one coming up no matter who they are.

We've been badly surprised by Duke in the past as well as Wake Forrest.

Even though we don't play Wake Forrest in regular season play, any team on our schedule is amply able and likely to whip our "T" hineys into oblivion if we look past them.

As far as I'm concerned, at present the only game left in our season is Clemson.

Clemson CAN'T afford to lose to Ga Tech.

We got a tiger by the tail Saturday any way you look at it.

Now, what are we gonna do about it?

YELLOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
