Out of pure drunken curiosity

22. First game was 1999 Central Florida. 41-10 GT to kick off the home slate.

But I think I first remember watching the 27-25 win over UNC in 1995 IIRC, and I really first became a dawg hater on that bogus pass interference call in the '97 game.

26. I was at that game, as a sophomore in high school, staying with a friend's older brother. I missed my high school homecoming dance (purposely) that year for that game. What a great day.

I'm 22. My first memory of a game was against Furman in the mid 90s (1995?). Tech won big and I remember thinking, "Buzz must be tired from all the pushups."

52, and I remember it well from central FL. I missed that play with Dez, though, because I had to get to work (yes, on a Saturday night). I was sure we were going down, and then my wife called me as soon as I got there and screamed about Tech winning and Dez's catch & run. It was a good night at work.

31 and I was at that game. Much like BeerNuts I was "thiiiissss" close to leaving the game and decided that I would tough it out through the 3rd quarter. It is still my happiest sports memory of all time (Bynum's lay-up vs. Okie State is a close second.)

I still have my Pom Pom with the score written on it in a shoebox and the chunk of goalpost we cut in Clough's yard is still at the fraternity house.

I sit here, a bit drunk, rockin along with a fav movie "The Song Remains the Same" (in the interest of saving money this friday night only to spend it tomorrow) and I noticed that the '98 GT v UVA' youtube video thread had a bit of age connotation to it about the kid who was really young when that great game went down on the Flats... so just for the amusement of myself and how many others.. who cares to state their age on here? Is that too taboo?...I think we all have our opinions about who's who in the grand scheme of things, but lets see where we all fall in the span of the GT ages? And at the same time give credence to those who have been following these Yellow Jackets through thick and thin?

I myself am a lowely 28, but consider myself to have a decent knowledge of GT history at least back as far guys like the indomitable Fridgemover, Gary Lee, John Dewberry, and Ted Roof. Thanks Dad!!!

60 and haven't missed a Tech / U[sic]GA game in person in 40 years - plus listened to the game in Vietnam (actual a replay) for one year before that and on local radio the year before that.

Adore my beloved Jackets, no matter how the season goes and hate those bastards from Athens no matter how the season goes.

We are simply better people.

love,
ArchiTECH

I'm 49. My father was hired as a professor at Tech in 1966. Some of the highlights of my childhood were going to Tech games when one of my parents couldn't go or when their friends in the adjacent seats weren't using their tickets. When I was a boy scout I ushered in the north stands. I started getting my own season tickets in 1999. My parents can't handle the physical requirements of getting to a seat anymore, so they watch on TV. It seems strange for people to talk about games in the 90's as a long time ago. I still remember the excitement when Pepper Rogers brought his wishbone offense to Tech. I loved watching it then almost as much as CPJ's triple option now.

40. Since you mention GT vs UVa, we'd better beat those punks in Charlottesville this year. That streak has gone on way too long.

28. Us GT fans in the Raleigh/Durham area need to get together and watch some football.

27...Dad's side of family are all Tech fans. Dad grew up in East Point in the 60's when Tech was the big ticket in town. I remember Dad yelling at the TV for Dennis Scott and William Bell when I was a kid.
