Yeah, I think the advertisers that pay for most of CFB are interested in selling both to real CFB fans and to non-real/lukewarm CFB fans. If it was just real fans they were catering to, they could probably increase ticket prices ten fold and do away with advertising altogether. The cost of some tix is many times the cost of tix that others pay for theirs.
"Hey, are you trying to pay for this hotdog with fake-fan money? Get outta here!"
